State Department Accuses NBC of Spreading False Reports About Witkoff and Rubio
The U.S. State Department spokesperson, Tommy Pigott, has accused NBC of disseminating falsehoods regarding President Donald Trump's team following an article addressing alleged disagreements between Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.
"NBC Fake News relies on anonymous, uninformed sources to spread lies about President Trump's team," Pigott wrote on his X social media page, adding the term "fake" to the name of the media outlet NBC News.
He emphasized that Rubio considers Witkoff a friend and patriot, "who is more honest than anyone at NBC or their 'sources.'"
It should be noted that serious disagreements between U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff regarding negotiations on Ukraine could significantly affect the future development of the conflict. This was reported by the American NBC News channel, citing its sources.
