Iraq Proposes Mine Management to the U.S. Instead of Russian Company
The Iraqi Ministry of Oil has officially invited several major American oil companies to discuss the development of the "West Qurna-2" oil field located in the south of the country. This invitation comes amid U.S. sanctions imposed on Russia's Lukoil and the company's intention to withdraw from the project.
The Iraqi oil authority believes that transferring the management of the oil field to an American company will not only protect shared economic interests but will also enhance stability in the global oil market. According to the ministry, this move will ensure Iraq's uninterrupted oil production and its share in the international market, which is also crucial for the effective management of state resources.
Previously, it was reported that India has purchased fuel from South America instead of Russian oil.
