Putin Threatens to Escalate Frontline Situation if Ukraine Does Not Negotiate
Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that the current situation on the battlefield aligns with his country's objectives. He made this announcement during a meeting with permanent members of Russia's Security Council.
According to him, military developments are progressing at a pace that, while not always matching Moscow's expectations, is moving in the intended direction.
Putin also referred to the peace initiatives proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump, noting that if Kyiv refuses to discuss them, both Ukraine and European countries should recognize that what happened in Kupiansk could be repeated in other critical parts of the front.
He assessed that such actions have a continuous nature.
Regarding the possibility of negotiations, the Russian president reiterated that Moscow does not reject the pursuit of peaceful solutions.
