Europe Must Be Prepared: Kyiv Will Be Asking for Money for a Long Time, Peskov
The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, has commented on the Ukrainian president's statement that Kyiv will require European financial support in the next two to three years to continue its resistance against Russian armed forces.
Peskov emphasized that under these circumstances, Europe must be ready to increase its financial commitments. “If Europeans continue their current policy towards Kyiv’s regime, they will be forced to allocate larger sums for a longer time,” he noted.
According to the Kremlin spokesperson, Ukrainian authorities could continue their “money begging” policy for an extended period. “Kyiv can maintain this practice not just for one or two years, but even for three years and more,” Peskov added.
