Mass Arrests in Azerbaijan: 600 People Banned from Leaving the Country

The border guard services of Azerbaijan have arrested 891 individuals for violating border regime regulations. Relevant measures have been taken against them, according to a report from the press service of the State Border Service. Azerbaijani media outlets have reported this news.

As part of measures to combat crime at the state border of Azerbaijan, 349 wanted persons have been arrested and handed over to the appropriate authorities. The exit of 590 individuals has been prevented, who are under detention due to large debts and ongoing investigations against them. Additionally, the entry of 53 individuals into Azerbaijan has also been blocked.
