Kyiv Sees No Sense in Discussing Peace Issues with Moscow
Kyiv does not see any sense in discussing peace issues with Moscow until security guarantees are defined, stated the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Igor Zhovkva.
“Without security guarantees, without a clear understanding from Ukraine and our partners in Europe and the U.S. regarding what these guarantees entail for Ukraine and the entire European continent, it makes no sense to talk about other issues in the context of a negotiation process for establishing sustainable peace,” he noted.
According to him, the guarantees provided to Kyiv should have both military and political nature, including the maintenance of the current number of the army and Ukraine's accession to the EU.
