Emergency Response to Strong Wind Damage Reports
Starting from July 5 at 16:27, a series of reports have been received by the Ministry of Emergency Situations regarding damage caused by strong winds. Information has been received from Armavir and Vayots Dzor provinces, as well as several administrative districts of Yerevan, regarding leaning and fallen trees, poles, and damage to building roofs.
The relevant divisions of the emergency service have promptly responded to all incidents. In particular, rescue operations have been carried out in the town of Jermuk in Vayots Dzor province, in the village of Norapat in Armavir province, and in several streets of Yerevan, including Khanzhyan, Kurgyinyan, Brotherhood, Israelian, Shahumyan, Agatangelo, Charents, Hasratyan, Andranik, Shahumyan 7th, Sari Tagh 9th streets, as well as Sayat Nova, Arshakunyats, and Baghramyan avenues.
On-site works have included the sawing and removal of fallen and broken trees, demarcation of areas, and the dismantling and securing of torn roofing sheets.
