National Assembly Approves Draft on Armenia's Accession Process to the EU
The National Assembly has approved in the first reading a draft on the initiation of Armenia's accession process to the European Union. 63 members voted in favor, while 7 voted against.
Hayk Mamijanyan, the leader of the "I have the honor" faction, announced that they would vote against the draft, while Seyran Ohanyan, the leader of the "Armenia" faction, stated that they would not participate in the vote. Only Hayk Konjoryan, the leader of the "Civil Contract" faction, indicated that they would vote in favor of the bill.
