Changes to Fees for Obtaining and Renouncing Armenian Citizenship
The National Assembly of Armenia has adopted a package of bills amending the Law on Citizenship of the Republic of Armenia and the Law on State Duty. The package was approved with 65 votes in favor and 33 against.
According to the new provisions, the fee for granting citizenship will be set at 50,000 AMD, while the fee for renouncing citizenship will be 150,000 AMD. Individuals without citizenship and refugees will be exempt from these fees.
It is noteworthy that the Armenian government made this decision on October 17, 2024.
