Video: CSTO Should Not Fight in Karabakh for Yerevan, Says Putin
The current attitude of Armenia towards the CSTO is dictated by domestic issues and the topic of Karabakh. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a press conference following the meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council.
President Putin believes that every country has the right to independently choose what to do in the security sphere. “Armenia has not expressed a desire to withdraw from the organization, supports all documents from the summit, and the possibility of returning to full operation within the CSTO remains. The CSTO should not fight in Karabakh for Yerevan; in that situation, there has been no external aggression against Armenia,” noted the Russian president.
