Orban Warns: Putin's Words Are Not Empty
Western countries must take very seriously Russian President Vladimir Putin's statement regarding the Ukraine conflict and the use of new Russian ballistic missiles. This opinion was expressed by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
He noted that public communications take different forms in various countries. “However, if the president of Russia says something, those are not empty words; it is not a communication trick,” said the head of the Hungarian government.
He reminded that Russia possesses “one of the most powerful armies in the world, equipped with the most modern, destructive weapons.” Additionally, Russia has made adjustments to its nuclear doctrine.
According to him, when Russia “changes the rules for using nuclear weapons, it is not a communication technique; it will have consequences.” In his speech, Putin also stated that “Russia reserves the right to use weapons against the military facilities of countries that allow their weapons to be used against Russian facilities,” Orban recalled. “If Russia is saying something on this topic, it should be taken just like that,” said the head of the Hungarian government.
In this context, he emphasized that countries providing military assistance to Ukraine must exercise prudence. “It is necessary to act wisely; otherwise, there could be problems,” Orban warned.
