“That Country Has Become a Pawn for the West”: Putin
Before his visit to Mongolia, Russian President Vladimir Putin gave an interview to the local newspaper “Оноодор,” addressing the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
“The main reason for Ukraine's current tragedy is the targeted anti-Russian policy of the collective West, led by the United States,” he stated.
According to the Russian president, “The US and the West have been striving for decades for complete control over Ukraine, and now that country has become a pawn.”
He emphasized that Western elites view Ukraine as a tool in their struggle against Russia: “Moscow sees this and will continue to address the tasks set before it for the security of its citizens,” he added.
