Iran Strengthens Air Defense in Eastern Regions of the Country
The Iranian army's air defense forces, stationed in the eastern part of the country, have received a new batch of weapons and equipment. This was reported by the Mehr news agency.
The air defense forces have received anti-aircraft missiles, radar stations, and drones. The handover took place in the presence of the commander of the air defense forces, Brigadier General Alireza Sabahi Farid.
On August 6, the deputy commander of Iran’s air defense forces, Brigadier General Alireza Elhami, announced plans for strengthening air defense, producing ground systems, and developing longer-range missiles. He noted that the air defense forces are enhancing their capabilities, including in the fields of drones, radars, and data collection systems. Elhami added that the Iranian army is fully self-sufficient and does not depend on foreign equipment.
