VIDEO: Vahagn Aleksanyan Discusses Draft Proposal for Military Exemption

KP member Hayk Sargsyan's draft bill is still in the discussion phase, and many questions remain to be addressed. This was noted by Vahagn Aleksanyan, a member of the National Assembly's Civil Contract faction and the Permanent Commission on Defense and Security, in an interview with Tert.am.

It is worth mentioning that Sargsyan's proposal suggests that citizens who have reached the age of 27 but have not completed mandatory military service be compensated with 15 million drams and be exempted from military duty.

“I do not express a position yet, as there are many questions to discuss. Perhaps Hayk Sargsyan's solution is not the best one, but a resolution to this issue must be found,” Aleksanyan said.
