There Should Be No Black and White Assessments: Deputy Prime Minister on the Effectiveness of EU Observers
There should be no black and white assessments of the actions or the quality of support from any partner. This statement was made today by Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan during a conversation with reporters, addressing questions regarding the effectiveness of EU observers.
“The gunfire has no explanation, but we need to analyze deeply and understand what actors and actions are lacking,” he said.
According to Grigoryan, it is necessary to understand what additional guarantees can be implemented to exclude incidents at the border.
It is worth noting that on February 20, a new European mission comprising 100 personnel was deployed in Armenia with a two-year mandate. The mission’s goal is to promote stability in Armenia's border areas, strengthen trust on the ground, and create conditions conducive to the efforts directed at establishing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
