Trump Leads Presidential Race Against Joe Biden: Poll
The former President of the United States, Donald Trump, continues to lead in the race for the presidential nomination among Republican candidates. This was reported by Monmouth University on July 25, based on its sociological survey data.
When asked whom they would like to see as the Republican candidate, 46% of respondents named Trump, while another 20% preferred Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Among the 14 potential candidates listed, 54% of respondents chose Trump, and 22% named DeSantis.
The former president also garnered over 50% among respondents who had to choose between him and another potential candidate. Furthermore, 45% of those surveyed indicated that Trump is the strongest candidate from the Republican Party in a contest against current leader Joe Biden, while another 24% stated that Trump’s candidacy is likely the strongest.
The survey was conducted from July 12 to 19, with 681 members of the Republican Party participating.
