‘In other words, Oskanian is suggesting we create a second state for such issues, which is very unserious,’ says Secretary of the Security Council
I believe Vardan Oskanian has had ten years to seize such an opportunity. The fact is that he hasn’t been able to do this in ten years; how can he accomplish it in three months? This was stated by the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, in an interview with ‘Voice of America,’ addressing the recent proposal made by former Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian to grant him and a group of diplomats the authority to negotiate, asserting that he could include pro-Armenian provisions in the negotiation agenda within three months, provided that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan remains silent during that time.
“I am even surprised by such a proposal and the perception towards the state. In other words, let’s create a second state or a second state institution for such issues, which I think is very unserious and should not be a subject of discussion in that sense, because the fact is that he had that opportunity and didn’t utilize it. What makes anyone believe that he can do it a second time, especially in three months and through some unclear individuals?” the Secretary of the Security Council stated.
