Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan Train to Operate Temporarily to Tbilisi

On July 1, a landslide occurred in one of the central regions of Georgia, damaging the railway connecting Tbilisi with the Black Sea regions, leading to the suspension of passenger train services between Tbilisi and Batumi. In response, the South Caucasus Railways company announced that its passenger train operating on the Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan route will temporarily operate only to Tbilisi.

The train scheduled for June 2 has already been operated to the Georgian capital, with approximately 200 passengers transported to Batumi by buses at the company's expense.

The Georgian Railway Administration assures that efforts are underway to eliminate the effects of the landslide and restore passenger transportation. The next scheduled train from Yerevan to Batumi is set for July 4, with the company promising to provide additional information regarding this. It is possible that passenger services will be restored before then.

The company will fully fulfill its obligations to passengers. It apologizes for any inconvenience caused due to circumstances beyond its control.
