Number of Poisoned Individuals at Saint Petersburg Restaurant Reaches 95
In a restaurant owned by TK Arsenal Trade in Saint Petersburg, 95 people have been poisoned. Inspections revealed that food preparation standards were not maintained at the eatery, where, among other issues, workers were found to be unqualified and expired and unprocessed products were used.
“From June 24 to June 29, 95 people (76 children and 19 adults) were affected due to the poor services provided by the ‘Grand Bianco’ restaurant,” stated a release from the press service of the urban division of ‘Rospotrebnadzor’.
As of today, five children and one adult are being treated in infectious disease hospitals in Saint Petersburg. Earlier, the united press service of the city courts reported that there were 50 cases of acute intestinal infection registered among the restaurant's visitors. The affected individuals had organized celebrations at the restaurant for their school graduation.
The Kuybyshev District Court has suspended the restaurant's operations for 90 days. Numerous sanitary violations were discovered at the establishment.
