Daily Attempts to Leave Ukraine Revealed

“Every day, about 20 people are apprehended in Ukraine while trying to cross the border illegally,” stated Andrey Demchenko, a representative of the country's border service. According to him, as reported by RIA Novosti, around 150 more people are denied exit daily.

The border service representative noted that during their attempts to leave Ukraine, individuals often forge documents that grant them the right to exit. For men, this can include false documents regarding the death of a wife or parent, claims of having three children under 18, or certificates of unfitness for military service due to medical reasons.

It is worth mentioning that new mobilization rules came into effect in Ukraine on June 1, which require citizens to register for military service starting at the age of 16, as reported by lawyer Tatyana Montyan. She also noted that notifications will be sent out this month, even to those holding so-called “white certificates.”
