Zelensky: Putin's Next Target Will Be Belarus
As long as Russian troops are not withdrawn from Ukrainian territory, the Ukrainian authorities have nothing to discuss with Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with the South Korean publication Chosun Ilbo.
“He has been avoiding even talking to me on the phone for almost two years. There is only one reason for that – he has nothing to say. The truth is on our side, and he has no arguments. Putin is well aware that his ambition to seize Ukraine by force is undeniable. So what can he talk to me about? Putin only wants to invade Ukraine through war and destroy Ukrainian identity,” he said.
Zelensky indicated that Putin’s next target was Belarus. “He is absorbing Belarusian metallurgy. Today’s Putin is clearly a different person than we have seen before. It is difficult to talk to Putin while he has not withdrawn all his troops from Ukrainian territory,” the Ukrainian president stated.
