Peskov on Putin's Possible Participation in Elections
Russia's presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov, in response to journalists' questions about the possibility of Vladimir Putin participating in the next elections, stated that the president has not made any announcements on this matter, and work is proceeding in the usual mode. This information is reported by RIA Novosti.
Earlier, Ella Pamfilova, head of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, announced that the Central Election Commission is already preparing for the start of the presidential election campaign.
“This is a working process, the CEC is carrying out its functions... It is still early to talk about the commencement of the Kremlin's preparations for the presidential elections; the campaign has not started yet. As you can see, the president has a very active schedule and a busy agenda,” Peskov noted.
