VIDEO: "Far-fetched and foolish claims" - Pashinyan on verbal promises given by Armenia
Azerbaijan is grossly violating point 9 of the November 9, 2020 statement by insisting that Armenia should provide a corridor. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a government meeting.
“I have repeatedly stated that the opening of any corridor is not foreseen in the November 9 statement, and no document signed by Armenia provides for such a thing. Naturally, all claims that Armenia has given any verbal promise to anyone are absurd and even foolish,” Pashinyan said.
He noted that both in the past and now, Armenia is ready to fulfill the 9th provision of the trilateral statement. “That point is about unblocking transport links in the region. The trilateral statement does not foresee any limitation on Armenia's sovereignty in this process, and Armenia is ready at any time to reopen roads and construct new ones, as provided by Armenian legislation,” Pashinyan stated.
