Kyrgyz Ambassador has been summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry following the cancellation of CSTO exercises. The ministry's commentary states that "an honest conversation took place on current issues pertaining to bilateral relations." "The parties reaffirmed their commitment to the allied nature of the relations," the Foreign Ministry's statement said. It was also noted that one of the topics of discussion was "cooperation within the CSTO." The Ministry of Defense of Kyrgyzstan announced the cancellation of the CSTO peacekeeping forces' exercises, titled "Indestructible Brotherhood-2022", which were scheduled to take place from October 10 to 14, with observers from Serbia, Syria, Mongolia, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan participating.
