North Korea Launches Ballistic Missile Towards Japan
North Korea has launched a ballistic missile towards Japan, according to media reports. The missile was fired in the direction of Hokkaido and Aomori Prefecture.
An air alert sounded in Japan. The missile passed through Japanese territory and fell into the Pacific Ocean. There are no reports of damage.
The Japanese government is convening a National Security Council meeting.
