Aliyev: Neither Armenia Nor Azerbaijan Wish for Large-Scale Escalation
During a meeting on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Samarkand, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed Russia's concern over the tense situation between Azerbaijan and Armenia. The information was reported by TASS.
Aliyev, for his part, thanked Vladimir Putin for the prompt response to the conflict at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
According to the RIA Novosti news agency, Ilham Aliyev stated, “Recent events have shown that neither Armenia nor Azerbaijan wish for large-scale escalation.”
