Tokayev on His Presidency

Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has announced that he does not intend to serve more than two presidential terms, as reported by interfax.ru.

“I do not know how long I will be the President of Kazakhstan, but it is absolutely certain that according to the Constitution, it will not exceed two terms. This means that there will be no changes in laws, especially in the Constitution,” emphasized Tokayev in an interview with the state television channel Khabar 24.

The country’s leader noted that as president, his mission is to achieve positive results in the transformation of society, the political system, and the economy.
