Medvedev: No Preconditions in Russia for Repetition of Events in Kazakhstan

Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, is confident that there are no preconditions in Russia for the repetition of the events that occurred in Kazakhstan in early January 2022.

“I believe that we do not have preconditions for such events. First of all, because the majority of our country's citizens share the course pursued by the authorities, and this is also confirmed by the fact that people voted in favor of the Constitution, and during the elections, including legislative elections,” Medvedev said in an interview with Russian media.

According to him, the occurrence reflects the overall regional security situation.
