Aliyev Makes a Statement
Following the end of the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, new opportunities for cooperation have emerged in the region. This was announced by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during a video conversation with Kunio Mikuriya, the Secretary General of the World Customs Organization (WCO). Azerbaijani media report on this.
According to Mikuriya, “Azerbaijan has become a regional development center and transportation hub. He noted that stability in the South Caucasus region has created favorable opportunities for regional cooperation, communication among people, and the development of transport links.”
Emphasizing that Azerbaijan has become the transportation and logistics center of the region due to its advantageous geographical position, investments in infrastructure, and established relations with neighboring countries, Ilham Aliyev stated that regional communications create a favorable environment for cooperation.
