Where Does Putin Keep His Money? Peskov Details
Vladimir Putin keeps his money in Rossiya Bank.
This financial institution is under U.S. sanctions.
Thus, the president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov commented on Washington's calls to freeze the Russian leader's assets. According to him, such threats are not painful for Russian high-ranking officials but politically devastating.
“Congressmen and U.S. senators, who are not very knowledgeable about this topic, talk about freezing officials’ assets, bank accounts, real estate, but this apparently stems from the fact that they lack sufficient expert knowledge,” Peskov clarified, reminding that the highest leadership of the country is prohibited from having assets abroad.
