Russia Begins Major Military Exercises in the Black Sea
More than 20 ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet have entered the Black Sea for military exercises, according to an official statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The statement indicates that the ships, combat boats, and auxiliary vessels of the Black Sea Fleet have left the bases in Sevastopol and Novorossiysk and have been deployed to designated areas.
The ministry has reported that the exercises involve frigates, patrol boats, small missile ships, missile boats, landing ships, small anti-submarine vessels, and minesweepers.
