Agnessa Khmoyan on the Possible Nomination of Kocharian for President
During the "Diary" program on Channel 5, Agnessa Khmoyan, a member of the "Armenia" faction, also addressed the resignation of Armen Sarkissian and the opposition's actions in this context. This was reported by Yerevan.Today.am.
"We mentioned during the briefings in the National Assembly that we have not had discussions on this matter, and we cannot make a decision. However, it became a media trick, the headlines went in such a way that the 'Armenia' alliance does not rule out the nomination of Robert Kocharian for the presidency. But since the topic was inflated like this, I must say that Robert Kocharian will not be nominated for the position of President of Armenia. Pashinyan said in his press conference that they have issues with the coordination of institutions, and just as universities were captured, they will nominate someone from their narrow team for the presidency, and under these conditions, the nomination of President Kocharian could not take place.
In this respect, the statement by Armen Sarkissian was incomprehensible to me; he complains about his powers but signs under the paper that reduces his powers. Then we saw the publication by "Hetq." Overall, I think this story will still unfold quite a bit," she said.
