Ankara is closely monitoring developments in the country, Erdoğan tells Tokayev
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expressed hope during a phone call with his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev that tensions in Kazakhstan would soon decrease. He stated that Ankara is closely monitoring the events taking place in the country, as reported by RIA Novosti, citing Anadolu.
“President Erdoğan informed President Tokayev during their phone conversation that Ankara is paying close attention to the developments in Kazakhstan and stands in solidarity with Kazakhstan. Erdoğan expressed hope that a new government would be formed in Kazakhstan as soon as possible and that tensions in the country would decrease rapidly,” the agency reported.
