Iran Condemns Israeli Prime Minister's Visit to United Arab Emirates

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman, Saeed Khatibzadeh, has announced that Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) undermines regional security. This was reported on the Iranian government’s official website.

Khatibzadeh expressed concerns regarding Bennett's visit to the UAE, stating that such actions are detrimental to both the interests of the regional people and Arab countries.

On December 13, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett traveled to the UAE after an invitation from Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed. The Prime Minister remarked that discussions with the Crown Prince in Abu Dhabi were honest and substantive.

Several Arab countries agreed to normalize relations with Israel in 2020, under the mediation of then-U.S. President Donald Trump. The signing of agreements between Israel, the UAE, and Bahrain took place on September 15, 2020, at the White House, leading to the decision to open embassies, establish direct flights between the countries, and initiate visits by government officials, as well as tourist travel.

Later, Morocco and Sudan also joined this initiative, according to RIA Novosti.
