Russian and Iranian Foreign Ministers Discuss Iran's Nuclear Program
The Foreign Ministers of Russia and Iran, Sergey Lavrov and Hossein Amir Abdollahian, have discussed the situation surrounding the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPoA) regarding Iran's nuclear program in the context of the negotiation process that resumed in Vienna on November 29.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the parties reaffirmed their mutual commitment to restoring the nuclear deal to its original balanced configuration, as confirmed by the United Nations Security Council. They asserted that this is the only proper way to secure the rights and interests of all participants in the comprehensive agreements.
The ministers also addressed a number of pressing issues on the bilateral and regional agenda.
