Minister Avanesyan Opposes Bill for Priority Medical Treatment of Soldiers
The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports: "A soldier, after 14 days of service, comes down, has health issues, undergoes a medical examination at a military hospital, and it turns out that there is a need for an MRI, and he has to wait for months. There is no priority treatment for soldiers," says Taguhi Tovmasyan, the Chair of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Human Rights Protection and Public Affairs, highlighting the issue and suggesting that a small privilege for soldiers be established without placing a financial burden on the state.
The privilege refers to granting medical priority to the boys who guard our tranquility and border security. "There is no priority, it turns out that the state provides no guarantee regarding priority for soldiers. The purpose of this law is to ensure motivation for soldiers so that they feel more protected by the state and sense that they are in the spotlight. This project also aims to enhance the attractiveness of military service," adds Tovmasyan.
