Difficult to Explain Why Some CSTO Countries Congratulate Azerbaijan on Victory Over CSTO Member: Sargsyan
We are witnessing a global reconfiguration of the ethics and philosophy of political processes, which leads to a crisis of international institutions and a total erosion of international law. This was stated today, December 1, by the third president of Armenia and leader of the Republican Party, Serzh Sargsyan, during a speech at the international inter-party videoconference on the topic “Global Challenges of the 21st Century: Inter-party Platform.”
He specifically noted: “Tectonic” shifts are also touching the South Caucasus region, which has become dangerous “seismically” in geopolitical terms. It is commonly assured that the foreign policies of states have become more rational. In this context, it should be acknowledged that rationalism is divided from cynicism by a fragile line called decency. A crisis of decency, a crisis of morality, a crisis of justice — this is what I consider one of the key challenges in the contemporary trends of global redefinitions.
For example, it is difficult to convincingly explain to the Armenian society why some CSTO member countries congratulate and celebrate a country that is not a CSTO member in connection with a military victory over a CSTO member state.
