We Are Ready to Mediate by Negotiating with Mr. Putin, Says Erdogan
The President of Turkey, Tayyip Erdogan, has stated that his country is ready to act as a mediator between Russia and Ukraine by negotiating with Mr. Putin.
“We support peace in the region... We have repeatedly discussed these issues with our friend Russia and particularly with Mr. Putin. We are ready to mediate by negotiating with both Ukraine and Mr. Putin. We would like to participate in solving this issue,” Erdogan said to Turkish reporters aboard his plane on his return to Turkey from a visit to Turkmenistan, as reported by NTV.
