Iran Announces Intent to Restore Gas Cooperation with Turkmenistan
Iran has announced the necessity to restore communication regarding gas with Turkmenistan. This statement was made by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.
According to Raisi, Turkmenistan is confident that the Islamic Republic is determined to resolve the current issues, and Iran's cooperation with Turkmenistan on gas will also be restored. “We need to eliminate obstacles to achieve economic growth and the development of exports,” he added.
“There is a relevant economic and trade infrastructure for bilateral and regional cooperation, and we must take steps in this direction to facilitate the activities of traders and exporters,” Raisi stated.
The Iranian president also emphasized that Iran's membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization prepares the ground for expanding regional connections. He highlighted that there are no obstacles in strengthening relationships with neighboring and regional countries.
