Kocharian on Starting Street Struggles and Their Objectives
Starting street struggles does not mean that Robert Kocharian will go out to the streets after the press conference, take a flag, and announce that we are gathering for street struggles in an hour. The second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharian, responded to a question regarding the initiation of street struggles during a press conference today.
“We will also expand street struggles and work with the people throughout Armenia. Try to convince yourself that you cannot launch street struggles without active involvement from the people. This active involvement must also be ensured through active campaigning,” said Kocharian.
The second president declared that the objective of their struggle is a change of power. He also emphasized that if they fail to launch street struggles, it means that either they have not found the right vocabulary to communicate with the people, or that a significant portion of the people have accepted everything that has happened.
