Video: Cambodian Students Create Chair-Like Flying Device

A group of students from the National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia (NPIC) have created a chair-like flying device. The developers have placed eight propellers on the furniture, allowing the drone to ascend up to four meters.

At this stage, the device can support the weight of a person up to 60 kg and remain airborne for about 10 minutes. Its development took approximately three years, according to enovosty.com.

In total, the students spent around $20,000 on research and assembly. The young inventors stated that the idea was inspired by problems in their home city, related to frequent fires and heavy traffic on roads. They believe that this development could be useful for firefighters in the future, particularly for extinguishing fires on the upper floors of high-rise buildings. Additionally, it could assist in transporting people.
