What the Republican Party Discussed: Meeting Led by Serzh Sargsyan
Today, on September 10, a regular meeting of the Executive Body of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) took place under the chairmanship of RPA President and Armenia's third President Serzh Sargsyan. This was reported by the RPA Executive Body.
During the meeting, both the internal political situation of the country and regional developments were discussed. It was noted that the capitulant regime has persistently squandered Armenia's sovereignty, inadequately addressing external and security challenges, and the risks of a new geopolitical adventure.
Information on the development of the party's international connections and new initiatives was acknowledged. The Republican Party will remain committed to utilizing its experience, connections, knowledge, and capabilities to serve the priorities of the national agenda.
The participation of the party in the upcoming local self-government elections was also discussed. It was decided to nominate candidates in several communities, particularly in Gyumri, where the Republican Party has put forward the candidacy of the head of the Shirak Territorial Organization, Artyom Ghukasyan, and approved the list of candidates for the council.
Regarding other communities, the Republican Party remains open to political discussions about supporting other opposition candidates.
The importance of continuous communication and feedback with broad sections of society was emphasized, including the involvement of party representatives. A decision was made to resume the courses of the Andranik Margaryan Political School.
