Syunik Governor on Azerbaijani Police Post Deployment

Azerbaijani forces have established a police post in their area near Vorotan. This was reported to NEWS.am by Syunik Governor Melikset Poghosyan, addressing photos circulating on social media showing the Azerbaijani police outpost, which is rumored to be located in the section of the Goris-Kapan highway that was previously closed by the adversary.

"There is a post in the Vorotan area, and I am coming from there. That booth is located in their territory, just before Vorotan on the road from Goris to Kapan. Russian and Azerbaijani border guards are monitoring that section. I just noticed it, went and looked, and confirmed it is in their area. That post was initially there, and the booth has just been added. It poses no danger; it is under Russian control," said the Syunik governor.
