Who Owns Tigranashen: Edgar Elbakyan Elaborates

It is ironic that, unlike the Moscow Treaty, according to the Kars Treaty—a reference made by Armenia's enemies, namely Turkey, Azerbaijan, and the capitulator—the current territory of Tigranashen belongs to Armenia. This was stated by political scientist Edgar Elbakyan on his Facebook page.

"That area was subjected to unilateral annexation by Azerbaijan through administrative coercion before the Great Patriotic War. I will elaborate on this in the summer issue of 'Marzakhosi.' However, since the foundation of the supposed Armenian-Azerbaijani border demarcation negotiations is not based on a mutual display of goodwill and legal rationale, but rather on Azerbaijan imposing its demands on the capitulated leader of Armenia, the warning signs do not cease to hang over Tigranashen, signaling imminent danger.

Unfortunately, a silent consensus has emerged among Euro-Atlantic and Russian ruling circles around the further reign of the capitulator. The Armenian nation, not as a modern static reality but as a national-political collective of people living, have lived, and will live in the Armenian Highlands, united around the idea of Armenian statehood, is left alone in this struggle and must rely solely on its own strength," wrote Elbakyan.
