Lavrov Becomes the Hero of a New Social Media Flashmob
The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has become the hero of a new flashmob known as #ПомахалМне, according to RIA Novosti.
To participate, users take an old video of the minister waving and sending an air kiss to someone, and edit it by adding their own video. The results are posted on social media with the hashtag #ПомахалМне.
The flashmob is based on footage from the BRICS summit in 2015. Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova later explained that Lavrov's air kiss was intended for his South African counterpart, Maite Nkoana-Mashabane.
