Lawyer Comments on Grounds for Terminating Employment for Those Not Vaccinated or Tested

The Ministry of Justice has presented a draft amendment to the Law on Public Service for public discussion, which establishes specific grounds for not allowing persons in public office and public servants to work, as well as for the suspension or termination of their powers.

In an interview with ArmDaily.am, lawyer Robert Hayrapetyan noted a remarkable section in the proposed changes, which states that individuals working in public authority bodies perform functions of significant importance for the public and the state, where their infection with a contagious disease can create long-term obstacles for the proper implementation of those functions—also threatening the public interests pursued by these functions.
