Mehriban Aliyeva Accuses Armenia
“I received the news with deep sorrow and sadness about the Azerbaijani television operator Siraj Abishov, employee of the state information agency Maharram Ibrahimov, and Vice President of Susuzluq Arif Aliyev, who, while fulfilling their professional duty, stepped on a landmine,” stated Azerbaijan's Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva.
She noted that around 140 Azerbaijanis have been blown up by landmines in Artsakh, with 27 of them killed. The country’s vice president believes that the military-political leadership of Armenia is responsible for these incidents.
“Unfortunately, the appeals from the Azerbaijani side to the countries of the OSCE Minsk Group, as well as various international organizations to pressure Armenia regarding the provision of maps of mined fields, have been unsuccessful. International public organizations continue to remain silent,” emphasized Mehriban Aliyeva.
