Hrach Hakobyan Did Not Answer Whether He Believes There Are Azerbaijani Lands in Tavush
I cannot answer that question; I do not know the field, the mapping, or where the enclaves might be, so I will refrain from commenting on what Vahe Galumyan said.
This was stated by Hrach Hakobyan, an MP from the My Step faction, while responding to a question about whether he shares his colleague's statement that there are Azerbaijani lands in Tavush.
“If there are enclaves, is there anything to be concerned about? If everyone knows that there are enclaves,” he said.
When asked if history starts for them from the Soviet Union, he replied that one could go much further back, but there should be some baseline reference.
He mentioned that there has been no talk about handing over villages, and discussions are still ongoing. Hakobyan also reminded that Prime Minister Pashinyan has stated that it is possible to record the territories that exist today, the current map.
