Ara Abrahamyan's Appeal to the RA Authorities and All Political Forces

The President of the Union of Armenians in Russia, Ara Abrahamyan, has addressed an appeal to the RA authorities and all political forces of the Republic. He notably stated:

“In the pre-election race, the most important security issue of our citizen, the Armenian person, remains outside our attention. The security problems facing the state must be a top priority for all capable forces. The Republic of Armenia today, more than ever, needs consolidation. The path of division is advantageous to our opponents, and that is why we must unite—for the sake of our state, for the sake of our homeland, for the sake of every Armenian.

Considering the alerts from international organizations and diplomatic representations regarding the security situation of the Republic of Armenia's borders, as well as the lack of comprehensive information from the responsible bodies of the RA, we urge the RA authorities to fulfill the state's obligation—to ensure the safety of every citizen of the RA, to provide the public with comprehensive and complete information about the country’s borders and security situation, and to refrain from disseminating information that sows panic and uncertainty among people.

We call upon all political forces of the RA at this critical time for the state to set aside differences and gather around a round table to collectively outline a roadmap for resolving the state’s security issues, viewing it as the supreme goal for all.

The powerful Armenian diaspora must be ready to support our country during these difficult times, stand beside Armenia and the Armenians, and dedicate all its resources to one goal—ensuring the security of our homeland.”
