Former Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan's Name Will Not Appear on Electoral List

Not being on the list does not mean I will not participate in the elections, stated the President of the Republican Party of Armenia and former President Serzh Sargsyan during a brief interview with reporters after signing the memorandum for the formation of the 'Honor Bound' alliance.

“Why am I not leading the list? Because political science teaches us a fundamental truth: those who lead electoral lists aspire to obtain high state positions. And as is well known, I have announced that I will no longer hold high state positions. I will only assist with my advice if needed. And why? Very simply, I believe I have completed my service to the Armenian state and the Armenian people in a high official capacity,” said Serzh Sargsyan.
